PA GOP won't let facts get in the way of their dirty tactics, sink to new low in mailer to Bucks County Voters
Warminster, PA. – This week, the Pennsylvania Republican Party escalated lies spread by Dan McPhillips about Rep. Brian Munroe’s honorable military service in a mail piece sent to Bucks County voters. Despite having been repeatedly fact checked and refuted their claims - including by Rep. Munroe himself who released his DD214 to prove his honorable discharge - the PA GOP continues to lie directly to voters.
In response, an attorney working on behalf of Munroe’s campaign has escalated previous attempts to have these slanderous lies taken down and has sent a letter directly to the PA GOP. We call on them, as well as Dan McPhillips and his campaign, to immediately issue a retraction and apology for their actions against Rep. Munroe.
Rep. Munroe is now considering all of his options including legal action in order to ensure that justice is served. He recognizes that the damage is not just to himself and his campaign, but to the voting public who deserve to be able to trust what campaigns and political parties tell them.
“It’s unbelievable that the Pennsylvania Republican Party would take such a risk to elevate the slanderous lies made by my opponent and attack any military veteran's honorable service. I’m prepared to take whatever action is available to me to correct these lies and pursue justice,” said Rep. Munroe.
Any individuals who are still in doubt as to the dishonesty of the PA GOP’s claims can easily review each accusation addressed at Rep. Munroe’s press conference held on October 19 where he, along with several veterans across the political spectrum, denounced the actions of Dan McPhillips.
